[Hey, having sex with a woman who wasn't a necromancer and could cater to his tastes in a way not even necromancers did? No point in passing that up. Especially since he wouldn't get another chance afterward.
[There's undisguised mischief in his voice. He remembers that Mirror Force trap Bakura showed him. It seems like the most likely option, or something similar.]
[It takes a least a minute for him to answer. Mostly because he's laughing. When he finally gets his breath:]
Oh, if she goes to you again I don't think it'll be for anything to do with me. Otherwise, I was fully intending on opening myself up to some petty vengeance so she feels satisfied I've been sufficiently ground under her heel. China never did understand that the willing submissive holds all the power.
[ Bakura finds it significantly less funny than Solomon does, as is clear by the crisp edge to his tone. ]
Yes, because you're the only possible target for that petty revenge. It's not as though you have people you live with, and who are dear to you, that would make for convenient scapegoats to a woman scorned.
Raine knows about her, and knows what she's capable of, and is far too well-known a personage in the city for China to risk targetting her or her brother without calling down the wrath of everyone else, Skulduggery especially. As long as I'm the easiest target, she'll come for me, because she won't risk her overall standing for something as petty as a fifty-year-old slight.
Besides, I rather think you've just added yourself to her rather short list of vengeance. That'll distract her somewhat.

I let her think she had me enthralled for a month and then walked out with a book belonging to the Temple once her guard was properly down.
[By implication: the book wasn't a gift.]
Re: voice;
I'd be impressed with your spirit of thievery if it didn't take you a month to get your prize.
Send her a postcard or something with monthly updates, I don't want her bothering me for information about you.

[But at that, he laughs.]
What did she ask you to do?

Re: voice;
You haven't answered my question as to what you're going to do, to stave off me having to keep doing that.
